My
keyboard or my mouse is not working. What could be
wrong?

Check
to make sure that all cables are plugged into the
computer securely & try the device again. If it
still doesn't work, try rebooting the computer. CAUTION:
Rebooting will erase memory. Any data not permanently
saved will be lost.

computer says a program "has performed an illegal
operation and will be shutdown". What should
I do?

Close
the "illegal operation window" & reload
Windows 95 by clicking START, select SHUTDOWN, click
"Restart Computer", & click YES.

My
taskbar is gone! How can I make it redisplay?

Move
mouse block arrow to bottom of the screen. Block arrow
should change to a vertical, double-headed arrow.
Click & drag up screen until you see a horizontal
line appear & release mouse button.

computer has started up in "SAFE MODE".
What happened & what should I do?

"SAFE
MODE" typically occurs when Windows 95 was not
shutdown properly during its last use. Reload Windows
95 by clicking START, select SHUTDOWN, click "Restart
Computer", & click YES. Windows should restart,
load properly, & not be in "SAFE MODE".

turn my computer ON & get a "non-system disk"
error message. What is wrong & how can I get my
computer to the Windows 95 screen?

Did
you leave a disk in drive-A? If so, take it out.
|
|

Be
firm but gentle when seating
boards, chips, connectors,
etc.

it clean, especially air filters
& ventilation paths
